As a monk, Isana has been unable to shed tears ever since losing his childhood friend, Gunji, a detective who died in the line of duty. Carrying unresolved anger and unspoken feelings for Gunji, Isana finds himself haunted by a lingering presence. Every month, on Gunji's memorial day, his junior detective, Tanabe, faithfully visits the grave. Each time, as Isana is confronted with the depth of his own loss, Tanabe's bright, cheerful personality feels unbearably irritating. His frustration toward Tanabe, who was once cherished by Gunji, finally spills over into unexpected words... “Will you comfort me in his place?” (Source: Takeshobo, translated) Note: Includes one extra chapter.
